First Aid at Work Instructors Course

First aid is not taught on this course so students must already hold a current HSE approved FAW certificate or equivalent.

Course Objectives

The course is designed to teach a modern approach to first aid training, in which the needs and activities of students are identified and broken down into components of skills and knowledge.

Standards

The benchmarks and standards have been set to judge the competency of the student through the course. This is achieved by continual assessment and testing, including expecting the student to prepare and present a lesson plan in a manner that will reflect adequate knowledge first aid; originality, and good use of teaching materials.
