First Aid is the skilled application of accepted principles of treatment on the occurrence of an accident or sudden illness.
As part of our commitment to quality, we have used a modern approach in the design of this course. The activities of the first aider in the workplace have been identified, and broken down into components or units of knowledge and skills to be achieved. All units are relevant to workplace first aid.

- Airway management and resuscitation
- Wounds and bleeding.
- Burns and scalds.
- Effects of heat and cold.
- Injuries to muscles ligaments and joints.
- Fractures.
- Eye injuries and conditions.
- Maintenance of first aid equipment.
- Record keeping procedure.
